With Mrs Santos revealed as a traitor, Captain Friday and Dr English are forced to rely on their guide Carlos. The jungle gets thicker, and the path is disappearing. Are there watchers keeping tabs on our travellers? Something seems all wrong, and doubts creep in about trusting their guide, Carlos. A flesh eating tree grabs Carlos. Will he confess, or share any secrets about the brothers of the living dead? Dangers continue when voices call from the shadows. What unpleasantries await if they don’t surrender the map? Skip Turner is rejoined, as Friday and the doc are locked up in a stone cell. Will a visit from death be paying them a visit soon?
All the priests want is the map, and Friday and Skip will be released, and sent safely on their way. Will Dr English go to the sacrificing stone? What hapened to Judith? Will they set her free as well?
Skip and Friday comment on the scene outside the cell. The green eyed woman, Mrs Santos, and Judith are present. What awful catastrophe is about to befall the world? Suddenly, the opportunity arises, the cell door is opened, and the three men escape to the jungle. Dangers plants and insects abound as Friday looks for familiar landmarks. Will they get lucky and discover the archaeological secrets of a near by temple building? What about that disembodied voice of a woman, who is guiding them to a secret passage? Its not going to be a trap, is it?
