A net of death has been thrown over our small band from San Fransisco. Going to the aid of monks in the jungles of Chile, we join Captain Friday in thick fog as their ship sails. Skip wonders at the oddity of a gorilla running loose on ship What was it that he saw instead? Are the dangers they discuss real, or imagined? Dr English is on hand, and the fight against unseen forces is on. Wolves howl, but will the women be safe? As a message to London is sent, attackers carry Dr English away. Mrs Santos warns of evil forces on board, and urges Judith to keep being brave.
Attackers lurk outside, and Captain Friday leaves Skip to guard the women. Should Skip join Friday, and trust the women will be safe, if they’re locked into their cabin? Wolves are howling again, but it doesn’t stop our heroes. A gorilla on deck turns out to be a man in disguise, and he shouts a message from the brothers of the living dead before escaping.
Back in the cabin, the gals discuss the sacred treasure map. As they worry over the length the enemy may go to get it, a knock at the door proves to be Friday.. They’ve managed to locate Dr English, and bring him safely home. What happened to him, what did the enemy do to the doc? Gorillas, hunchbacks, a man with a face like a dog all hold him prisoner, and demand the map.
