Today’s True Crime story comes from Detroit, Michigan. A young family begins a hopeful future when dad starts his new job.
Dad has been getting by on his handy man skills, as mom is having a new baby. Charlie is overjoyed to think that he is not only starting a new job, but is accepted into a new fraternal order. The Black Legion holds a secret initiation ceremony. It’s a white supremacy group. Might that group just be a pseudonym for another well known white supremacy group whose name is populated by the letter ‘K’?
In the name of protecting it’s members, and the legion itself, murder and violence are committed. What part will Charlie be forced to play in it? What will become of the young mom, and her two little girls? The cops are on the case, and mystified that someone like Charles could be murdered. He had no money, an well worn suit, and left his loving family behind. How might they pry into the secret society to get to the killers?
Will the society prove too be out of reach of the long arm of the law? A small toe hold is just the crack needed for the police to expose as many as 50 other murders, and bring the society crumbling down. Still, with all the success, no amount of justice will replace the missing dad in the griving family.
