Hearing of suspicious reports of car crashes from Jimmy Olsen, Clark is joined by Lois Lane to go investigate the happenings at the Bar-O dude ranch. Surviving the crash as they approach a narrow tunnel, Clark and Lois take to walking. In the dark, but armed with a flashlight, they discover there aren’t any tire tracks. Was there a car there, or not? Could it actually be a ghost car?
Back at the ranch, Jimmy ids worried about his friends. Just then, Clark makes his appearance with Lois. Will they learn anything new about the ghost car by talking to the ranch hands? Mr Graham stands to be washed up if the wierd ghost car stories keep people from his place.
The sheriff wants to close the unsafe road, but Clark gets him to agree to keep it open for 3 days. As Lois gets settled in, suddenly cries for help break the stillness of the night.
