After a big night on the town, Jack has breakfast with Rochester. The dishwasher is on the fritzx, so as Rochester phones the repairman Jack talks with Bob Crosby. What’s his big problem? It has to do with the sponsor on his other show, Manachevitz wine. Don phones in with his own troubles, for him it involves his new car. Dennis has the football spirit anticipating the Rosebowl game today. Will Jack take him up on a bet over the game? He alludes to the band being involved in the great Brinks robbery of 1950.
Rochester gets the Maxwell ready, and Jacks his gal Iris on a date. At the Rosebowl game, Jack meets Kitzel who tells about his fat wife. What? No hotdog stand? The crowd roars, the band plays, and a pitch for the sponsor kicks off as the Sportsmen sing a football fight song for LSMFT.
Interuptions from a tipsy New Years Eve partier, Dennis sky diving from an airplane, and everybody in the swho tands seems to know Iris all frustrate Jack. Its enough to make Jack storm off, and break off his engagement.
