Jack jokes about his birthday last week, and about the nice weather in the resort town of Palm Springs. Mary and Don joke about the number of places that sell milk shakes. Phil is missing, but the rest of the cast tell about where they’re staying, and the recent appointment of Bob Hope as mayor of Palm Springs. A phone call from Jerry Colonna turns out to be Dennis Day. The Sportsmen embellish a song for the sponsor message, My Adobe hacienda.
Mr Kitzel tells about some trouble he had on a tour bus. Jack shares about his plan to build a house just outside of town. Dennis sings, Serenade of the Bells.
Out on the job site, we visit Jack’s house, and talk with Frank Nelson the contractor. Frank Sinatra makes a surprise appearance on the job site. Take the tour of the floor plan, and Rochester will be on hand to tell that he has already moved in to the master bedroom.
