As Mr Keen and his assistant do office chores, his secretary is late, and has a mysterious story to tell. She brings in a neighbor who is sure that her nightmare is an omen that her father has been murdered. Through flashback sequence, the woman relates her last encounter with her missing dad.
Mr Keen gets right to interviewing people. The missing man had been saving for 20 years, and now planned to use his nest egg of a whopping $6000 to buy a cottage in the woods and retire. After he learns his wife has tapped into the funds for her own troubles, the distraught man walks away. Wow, $6000. Even with considering inflation, in today’s dollars thats only roughly $60000 more or less. hardly what I’d figure was enough to retire on, let alone buy a cottage.
Anyhow, the relentless Mr Keen keeps on the track of the man along the river front. The trail leads to a body, and the missing man confesses to murder. Mr Keen has all the pieces in place, do you? He even works to talk sense to the man, and reunite a happy home. Listen in to find out how.
