Gildy and Judge Hooker cut up over a game of checkers, when Leroy wants to call in sick at school tomorrow. Nobody’s falling for it, since the circus is going to be in town. As the gents continue arguing, they recount pranks of their childhood, unaware of all the juicy ideas they’ve just given to the impressionable youth. As Gildy and Marjorie get ready for their day at the circus, Leroy enters to announce that school has been closed for the day. It seems that someone let a skunk loose, and it needs to be aired out…the school needs aired out… not the skunk. Such a convenient accident.
More strange events keep happening, and Gildy decides that he had better get to the bottom of the rash of pranks. Though he plays innocent, all the circumstantial evidence points to Leroy. Can Gildy enlist the help of Judge Hooker to take care of the monster they created? Their reverse psychology only leads to more fodder for Leroy, and more pranks to play.
Overhearing The next pranking plans, Gildy tries to intercept it, and keep Leroy from being expelled. He and Judge Hooker go out on a limb to save Leroy, but only manage to get themselves in a compromising position before its all over. Will the secret of the prankster ever be found out?
Trivia: Everybody knows that Leroy’s friend is Piggy Banks, but listen in today and learn Piggy’s real name. For that matter, learn the nickname Leroy has that never seemed to have caught on in the show.
