As the family finish up dinner, Sade takes a phone call from Ruthie Stembottom. Sade has forgotten that she has promised to help with her thimble club party. One of their planned parlor games involves answering a role call by responding with the name of a wildflower. Cute.
Since Vic was raised on a farm Sade had counted on him for help. There’s just one problem. Time is short, and the hardworking boyhood that Vic knew on the farm didn’t leave much time for pondering the variety of wildflowers.
Imagine her embarrassment and utter shame if she can’t come through on this simple task for her lady’s group. Imagine her frustration at having a husband who knows utterly nothing about flowers.
Rush actually gets the creative juices flowing as the three brainstorm over wildflowers, details about them, and how her role call is expected to work. With the pressure on, Sade begins assigning her flowers to each of her ladies. She finds out too late that Rush and Vic are just making things up on the spot.
