The pearl has been recovered, and in the Jot ‘Em Down store and Meadowlark Restaurant, Lum and Abner look for a new hiding place. Abner gets a little confused at Lum’s mention of the legal briefs their lawyer is preparing for them.
Lum is confident in the ability of their lawyer, but Abner has his worries. How will they manage running the store and restaurant while the court is in session?
Telegrams keep coming in, and Lum reads requests from across the nation wanting his Lumburger recipe. The moment of fame is interupted by Mr Walford, the lawyer as he enters. How’s the case going? Are there enough witnesses on their side? Will he be able to dig up dirt on Squire and Grandpap to prove their low down character? A last moment twist may cause problems for Lum and Abner.
