Stokes is a horse rancher who is confronted by a man named Harker, who wants a debt paid. For payment, a prize stallion is demanded, but the man has a reputation of being abusive to horses. Will Stokes be forced to let his horse go?
Elsewhere on the trail, Matt and Chester find the carcass of a horse that had been bull whipped to death. The horse isn’t quite dead yet, and Doc thinks he can nurse him back to health. Matt is sure the owner, and one who beat the horse will come around to claim him, and that’s one man who Matt wants to meet face to face. Hearing of the horse abuse, Stokes gives Matt a heads up on the cruel Harker. Is there any law that Mat can enforce about beating animals?
Doc has brought news to Matt that the horse is missing. Has Stokes reclaimed his stallion? Matt and Chester ride, but will they be in time to stop trouble between the two horse ranchers? It’s not Stokes that Harker needs to worry about though. Sometimes rough justice comes from a force of nature.
