Chester complains as he and Matt ride the dusty trail to bring a criminal named Hobb to justice. Also on the trail is a cavalry unit out looking for an indian named Blue Horse. Matt gives the fresh officer some friendly help in taking a short cut back to the fort, but Blue Horse seems to have gotten away.
Their situation gets complicated when Matt’s horse throws him, resulting in an injured leg. Chester faces over a 2 day ride back to Dodge for help. Can Matt take care of their prisoner by himself on the open range? In Dodge, Kitty worries as Doc heads out to the prairie with Chester. How’s Matt holding up? Will his injury lead to being delirious?
At a critical moment, Blue Horse showsup. Though he is wanted by the Army, it turns out Matt is a friend who once did him a favor. He offers help that Chester and Doc are glad to see. Will Matt be able to convince his friend to return to the reservation, like the Army wants?
