We join Jack and Rochester as they finish up an Easter egg hunt. When Mary arrives, she’s all dressed up, and ready for a stroll in the Easter Parade. Phil tells how he started his first band in San Fransisco. The whole time, Jack is waiting for the delivery of a new car, but all he gets is more cast members visiting. Will Don Wilson have some good word for Jack?
After a little transitional music, we join the gang after lunch. Dennis Day pops in to tell about the circus, and the job his mom has there. Jack reveals secret plans for an upcoming movie project. Bursting his bubble, as she typically does, Mary tells her own secret, as we go into flashback mode to learn what really happened at the movie studio.
After driving to the studio with Rochester, Jack meets with Sam Goldwin. Hoagie Carmichael makes a cameo, and complains a little about how his name got butchered at the Academy Awards. Hoagie manages a transition to sing his hit, Old Buttermilk Sky, with the Sportsmen. A special arrangement, of course, and the sponsor gets in a plug.
Will Jack get the chance to pitch a movie idea with Sam Goldwin? The movie mogul has plenty of other problems on his mind to sort out. Will Jack take the hint that Sam really doesn’t want to work with Jack?
