On a homestead, mom is alarmed when a posse comes. They claim that her son Jerry has desserted from the army and robbed a bank. Will they find the boy hiding, or will he escape into the raging blizzard? Meanwhile, Lone Ranger and Tonto do their own search, and talk about Jerry Crane. Has the soldier with impressive credentials fallen in with the local outlaw gang?
Finding Jerry, and after reviving the nearly frozen desserter, Lone Ranger hears his story. Though even Jerry feels hard on himself for the mistake he made, Lone Ranger can tell there’s a sincere character to salvage. Is there hope to redeem himself?
As the posse searches, and the story unfolds, we learn more of the story of the bandits of army desserters, and things are looking bad for Jerry. Time goes by, and no word is heard from Jerry. Has he forgotten his word and plan to help Lone Ranger?
Even if the signal from the undercover Jerry comes, Lone Ranger still needs to convince the army that he has a plan to trap the outlaws. Time is of the essence as Lone Ranger leads the army raiding party.
