Chester anticipates doing some duck hunting, as Mr Taggert enters. He’s looking for his runaway daughter. She’s 24, and well of age, Matt doesn’t see that there’s anything he can do to convince the girl to go if she doesn’t want to. Matt finds him with her husband, Berl to warn her about her dad looking for her.
Kitty talks with Matt in the Long Branch about the wealthy man, and the way he tossed is money around to get his girl back on the train. Berl isn’t happy about it, but can he confront Taggert to make his point?
Doc brings word that Taggert hired a gunman to kill Berl if he started causing problems. Is there something Matt can do about it? Will Berl back down? Will Evie give in and go back, or will she have some other plans in mind?
