An out of work man runs into an equally unemployed woman in the park, Mark Matthew, and Mary Billings. Pooling resources, they share a meal, and renew their efforts on a job hunt. Mary goes after an ad for a job, but why does it ask to apply after midnight? Her qualifications are good, a salary is arranged, but things get strange again when Mary is asked to dress more conservatively. What’s wrong with the calendar?
Mr Gibson insists that it’s April 1912, not January 1942. Has Mary somehow travelled back in time? With the break of day, Mary finds herself back in the park, and her friend Mark has good news of a new job as well. Will he believe her odd story?
Returning to her office, Mary and Mark discover an abandoned floor, used only for storage. Was Mary only imagining her night at work? Artifacts are found that tie Mary to Mr Gibson, and her paycheck she recieved covered an old debt.
