Not all of Wild Bills adventures involved criminals and bandits. Jingle marvels at the speed of Bill’s horse, Buckshot. As they ride into town, they see a poster announcing a horse race with a $1500 purse in prize money. After an altercation on the street, our heros make a friend in little Tommy Jones, a boy on crutches who was being picked on.
The disgruntled bully, Boxelle, issued a death threat if Bill and Jingles aren’t out of town before sundown. They aren’t worried, but more of Tommy’s story comes out as preparations are made for the big race. Tommy needs money to have surgery back East that could help him walk again. Bill is determined to win the race, no matter what threats are tossed his way. Though the prize isn’t enough to help completely, with side bets it will make up the whole amount.
With race time approaching, the worst news of all comes in. Buckshot is missing and Jingles has been knocked out. Can they find Buckshot in time? How will our heros ever find the missing horse? Get ready for gunplay, and the fast riding action that will be needed to help Tommy.
