Vic has recieved late breaking word about the lodge marching team and he grills Sade over her knowledge over it’s members, and marching procedure. She does a good job at parroting back the information that Vic has so often spouted off. The latest thing is to involve the ladies of the lodge members in the marching.
what about the marching team members who aren’t married? Vic explains how other female relatives will be substituted. Though Vic sees the arrangement as entirely dignified and solemn, Sade thinks the hodgepodge of substitutes is just silly. Then of course, she makes her declaration to Vic that she simply won’t march.

ems a difficult point to get through Sade’s head but the lodge and the All-Star Marching Team is a big, touchy point for Vic. She continually pokes the sore spot and makes fun of it in her sly way.
To Sade, the Honorary Ladies’ Auxiliary Marching Team really seems like a dumb idea, especially since there won’t be any marching and the ladies are a hodgepodge of victims who probably detest the lodge as much as she but don’t want to hurt their male counterparts.
