Bil and Jingles are out to do some fishing for a breakfast feast, but when they spot a boy with a huge stringer of trout, they invite him to join them. Zip is a run away who is looking for his missing father, and tells of an indian friend who taught him his fishing tricks. When his uncle rides up, Zip hides, and Bill listens to the uncles side of the story. It’s enough to entice Bill to find out more.
In town Bill finds out about a will, and details about the dad’s disappearance. Danger is ahead, and Bill narrowly misses falling to the same fate as Zip’s dad. With the dots connected, Bill makes quick work of the shady uncle, and sees that justice is done for Zip.
