Jack Bates and his wife Mary run a ranch, but when news of a stranger with a scar is discovered, it has Jack on edge. Holstead is Jack’s former partner in crime, and the man is out to blackmail Jack to take advantage of their past misdeeds together. Will it ruin the good reputation that Jack has built over the last couple of years?
Somehow Lone Ranger has heard of Jack’s plight, and being a good judge of character, he wants to help Jack get free of his past. First Jack comes clean with his wife, who is supportive of him. Will the stand he decides to take sacrifice his hard work? Will he end up in jail to pay for his former crimes?
Willing to pay any consequence, Jack and Mary do what they believe is the right thing. They throw themselves on the mercy of the court, but find none. Can Lone Ranger bring justice to the man who has proved he has turned his life around? Will Jack be facing a hangman’s noose? There’s plenty of horse racing, gun toting adventure as the posse goes after the escaped Jack. Will Lone Ranger find him first? Can Jack’s name be cleared?
