Hosted by Ernie Whitman.
Tiny Bradshaw sings, Hit that Jive Jack.
Next is that hit, Willie Floyd singing, Do Nothing Til You Here from Me.
Pianist, Dorothy Donogan plays, Tea for Two.
Tiny Bradshaw tells how folks can write in for a request, reads a little from the mailbag. Tiny then sings, A Chicken Ain’t Nothing but a Bird.
In true form, Jack interupts when Ernie makes like he’s announcing the next guest. Jack “Razzamataz” Benny. Jack jokes around with Ernie about money, Ernie’s large size, and that jivey lingo. Jack gets a little of the jive talk jargon confused, but has some good adlib moments with Ernie. Armed with his violin, Jack tells a little ficticious history of his usical past. He takes requests from Ernie, he’ll play anything as long as it’s Ida Sweet as Apple Cider.
Jack actually has good timing, and even handles the melody well, but I think he’s discovered a key that nobody has ever played in before. Can it be? He gets shouts for more.
Time is getting near to sign off, but first Tiny Bradshaw is back for a few more mailbag greetings, then sings, After You’re Gone.
Ernie and Tiny part with a few words to support the troops.
