Pete and Griff have their heated debate over checkers interupted by Doc Adams when he enters. As plans for a sociable at the church are discussed, we learn that Faith is sweet on Johnny. At the party, Johnny seems distractedd when Faith tries her best to talk with him.
Another girl in town, Ella Mary, is diagnosed by Doc Adams as simply being a hypochondriac, but his prescription is one of sympathy. His sympathetic gesture turns Johnny on to Ella Mary, and Doc inadvertently plays Cupid.
Now the country doctor has a new problem, Faith isn’t happy with him at all.
