Join in the excitement with the Robin Hood of the Old West. Ride with Cisco and Pancho on another adventure.
Sometimes a law is passed that is well meaning, but causes more trouble than intended. A farmer has his hired hand let his cows into his field. He is using his half wit worker to let the cows in because the new law says that a rancher needs to pay for damages that his cows do to crops. The dishonest farmer plans to take advantage of that law.
Later, Cisco and Pancho ride up and find the broken fence, and find the intruding cows. They do a good turn and in the absence of the farmer, mend the fence and move the cows out. The rancher and his hand go to see the damage for himself, and have a happy reunion with Cisco as he finishes up mending the fence.
The rancher is good natured and after a good laugh, is still willing to pay a fair settlement to the farmer. When the rancher’s hand spots sign that the original damage was sabotage, a fight breaks out.
The rancher takes Cisco and Pancho to his ranch and is hospitible. The ranch hand goes to settle up with the farmer, but being suspicious about the sabotaged fence, Cisco decides to stick close and act as a bodyguard.
Back at the farm, the half wit helper doesn’t fully understand, and when his feelings are hurt, he shoots the ranch hand. Now the farmer is scared for his life, and with good reason. Though Cisco and Pancho had been trailing behind, and not quite caught up with the rancher, they are close enough to hear the gunshot. Can they apprehend the guilty parties? Will they prevent a situation from blowing up between the farmer and the local ranchers.
There aren’t any witnesses, so the farmer tries to pull a fast one on the sheriff. Will the half wit helper tell the true story of the cows, and the killing? First he needs to be found. Thinking he’s doing right by his boss, the half wit goes to get more revenge on the ranchers.
Justice is done when Cisco arrives in time, and the farmer panics when left with the sheriff. In epilog Cisco can’t blame the half wit, he was just misled, and taught twisted morals. Then Cisco has to set Pancho straight on a matter of a job. O Pahcho! O Cisco!
