Michael Shane meets up with a Cuban from Havana who has received a letter from his friend Julian. When he arrives in town, he learns that his friend has been dead for two years. Who sent that letter, and why? That’s what Shane needs to find out.
The job pays well enough so the investigation begins. Details behind the mysterious missing friend begin to develop as Shane tries to discover where the aledged dead man might be hiding. People at the haunts of the missing man are pretty definite that he’s ded. But is there any possibility that he might be in hiding? No body has ever been found after his presumed drowning off the coast during a storm.
The dead man, Julian turns out to be something of a con man, but is it really likely that he has kept to himself for so long? Just when the leads have been exhausted, fresh word falls into Shanes path. The case heats up, and gets dangerous when Shane puts his efforts into trying to find who has been tailing him. Has little Mike finally solved the case the hard way?
