Frank Smith talks with Joe about some trouble he has been having with his freeloading brother in law. Joe Friday and Frank Smith go to investigate a robbery. The bank guard, and officials accurately describe the details of the events, complete with differing descriptions of the robbers and activity. Amid the confused reports, one detail turns out to be helpful. The license plate number of the get away car. The lead takes Joe and Frank to interview a neighbor about Mr Fields, and his freeloading brother in law.
In voiceover, Joe Friday tells how the case progresses, and gives facts, and a profile of the type of person who would commit this type of crime. It doesn’t take long to nab their man. Frank is still having a little trouble of his own with his brother in law though.
