Audio is a little muffled sounding. As they ride the trail, California dreams of meeting up with an old girlfriend, but gunshots call him and Hoppy away to investigate. Don’t worry, it’s just that rowdy gal who California had intentions on visiting. What’s the gun toting mama up to these days? Hash Knife Lil owns a waterfront warehouse, and is having trouble with some of the local riff raff.
As Hoppy and California lend a hand to their old friend, clues point to a smuggling racket, and corrupt cops. Will there be more clues awaiting them as they accompany Lil to an auction? Suddenly Hoppy, California, and Lil find themselves at gunpoint, and being robbed.
In their chase after the crooks, the colorful Lil proves to be able to handle any man-sized job that comes along, as well as Hoppy and California can. The diamond smugglers are caught, and Hoppy ties the loose ends of the mystery together for the listener. Lil might have lost her bargain from the auction, but with friends like Hoppy, she’s sure to come out a winner.
