Each morning on the ship Voyager, the captain has made it his ritual to visit baron Victor Frankenstein to hear the fascinating story of the monster. Frankenstein tells how he began work to create another monster to serve as a mate to the first one. Will his work be complete, and will Victor finally be free from blame at setting the monster loose on the world? Will the monster be happy with the new experiment?
The murderous deeds of his monster strike fear in the heart of Victor, but will he be able to go through with the work to create another life? Will the monster get his mate?
One concern is that if a female counterpart for the monster is created, that she will also find the monster hideous, and turn from him. Is Victor back at square one, and facing destroying his creation? The monster renews his vows to bring only murder and unhappiness to his maker.
