As Matt and Chester enjoy their casual stroll on the hot day, they see Sally running down the sidewalk. What has her so bothered? They learn that she has been married before, but the man she thought was dead, and lost at sea, has come back to claim her. A matter that’s sure to cause problems with the man who is married to her now.
What will Ben have to say about the stranger in town who’s been bothering his wife? Both men are possessive, with ideas that put Betty in a position of servitude toward them. Why would she want to be with either of the men? Which one will she choose? With a little aid from Matt and Kitty, Sally has been staying at the Dodge House, but the safe ground won’t stop the problem for long.
Matt doesn’t have the answers for marital troubles. People get themselves into problems that is beyond his jurisdiction to control or fix. If things escalate into violence, he might be able to do something, but that’s not the worst of the problem yet. Kitty has news of a new love development. A sweet talking young gambler has stolen Betty away to points unknown. Seeing they both lost their vixen of a wife, the two men who were ready to kill each other are now stunned into finding a new best friend in each other.
