Probably not actually a production from the Hermit’s Cave, but a spooky ghost story none the less.
A traveller on a dark and stormy night gets out of the rain when his car breaks down when a stranger gives him a lift in a horse drawn buggy. In the spooky house, our traveller seems to evaporate into the walls as he observes the eerie happenings.
The woman of the house is terrified of her husband, claiming the ghosts of their family and maid haunt the place,, and have come to torment her in the days that he has been gone. The dead who aren’t laid to rest respectably return to cause disembodied voices, the maids ghost stirs the cook pot and carries the lantern. What will become of the woman? Will she soon join the other restless spirits?
As if coming out of a dream, our traveller regains the use of his limbs and flees the scene. He tries to convince his girlfriend that his ordeal was real, and going on a ride down that same highway nothing looks familiar in the light of day. But wait! Isn’t that the same house? Who lives there, and do they know about the history of the house? Is there anything that will ease the unrested spirits?
