Sometimes the only way to get her father to do something for her is to trick him intol it. We find Margie hatching a scheme with her neighbor, Mrs Odet to trick Vern into taking a trip. The ladies slather on the butter, but will Vern suspect something? Vern is too busy at work to have fun in the mountains, but his boss arrives to lend a hand to the persuasion. By the time Freddie pops in, preparations for a camping trip are in full swing.
The gear is packed, an ordeal full of comic affect, and Margie has to part with Freddie for the next few days. A last moment interuption may derail the trip, when an important business client is to visit Vern.
Can Freddie, Margie, and Mrs Odet speed the slow thinking Mr Green up on his business decision? He seems to have little place in the fast paced world of the days business atmosphere. Second thoughts are had when Margie realizes she’ll be going away, leaving Freddie behind. Will she be a success at delaying Mr Green, and delaying having to say her goodbyes?
Even if Margie can delay the trip, will Vern want to stay with his stodgy client? He has determined to get away from it all regardless. The best of both worlds is had by camping on the penthouse roof.
