Jokes about poverty and Freddie’s fashion choices are the topic of the morning. Mrs Odett pops in to pitch in her comments on the matter of job hunting. Clothes make the man, but will that be enough to help Freddie in his quest for employment?
Margie has other ideas, and convinces her dad to adopt Freddie so he’ll have the clout of the family name on his side. It’s just a temporary arrangement, but I think things are about to become complicated. With his new found status and position in the wealthy family, Freddie figures he won’t have to work to be a success. Especially when the fake judge who they get to sign the papers turns out to be a real judge, and the adoption is for real
Freddie moves in with the Albrights, and soon is freeloading, buying a new wardrobe, and doing all e can to spend money, and do anything but find a job. After driving dad nuts for long enough, Freddie has a secret that he reveals to restore normalcy to the gang.
