Dennis sings, I Like Mountain Music.
Dennis has been given the opportunity to become the Scoutmaster of the local Boy Scout troop. He talks with Mildred about some of his old days as a Scout. Proving himself as a naturalist, Dennis goes to show Mildred his frog, but it’s missing, at least for the moment. It’s not gone for long when Mrs Anderson finds it for him.
Dennis tries to play the innocent act with Mrs Anderson, but it’s not difficult for her to figure him out. he wants to redeem himself, and he goes to locate another meeting place for his scouts. Dennis goes to the neighbor. The one who is the man crazy old maid. It just costs him a kiss or two to melt her will power. She agrees to help him find a place for his Scout troop to meet.
Her boss, Mr Conrad has the perfect building, and a meeting is reluctantly arranged for Dennis to meet with the man. It seems that Mr Conrad is a local racketeer. Dennis wants to clinch the deal by acting like he’s a high power business tycoon. Though he plays a good part, and is convincing, has Dennis bitten off more than he can chew? Will his high power, tough guy act backfire on him?
Sidney Sheldon is the tough Mr Conrad, and he mistakes Dennis for a big mob boss. There’s just enough misunderstanding going on to put some fear into Mr Conrad. Not to mention provide laughs. Soon, Conrad sees through Dennis, and threatens to fill him full of lead. However, a rescue comes at the last moment.
