With the end of the ordeal of how to spend the $10K from Diogenes, and all that problem behind them, Lum and Abner turn their attentions back to tending to the Jot ‘Em Down store. Things have run down something wonderful. Abner flubs a line as he reminds Lum that even though Diogenes is gone, his printing press is still in their feed room.
Lum gets the idea that he could add a print shop to the store. Abner gets a little confused over some of the sample material Lum claims he intends to print. Handbills, wedding invitations, and the like. He gets caught up trying to figure out who in town is getting married, and why won’t Lum tell him?
Maybe Lum is just the feller to write a modern day dictionary, and put the words that he and Abner say that aren’t already in Noah Webster’s dictionary. Speaking of good ol’ Noah, Abner thinks Lum will have trouble finding all those animals for his ark. Huh? Maybe Lum will just have a nervous breakdown instead.
