The Army has orders not to fight the indian tribes, in hopes of avoiding war with them. Things are getting tense though, and violence is sure to break out. The Lone Ranger is on hand, and assures the army commander that the indians don’t want war either, just the money that they wer promised. The listener is privvy to the words between trapper Garson and the indian chief, and the lies he is spreading. Might there be an ambush for the Lone Ranger? His two day race to meet the demands of the indiams hold the fate of the fort in the balance.
The Lone Ranger races dilligently on his quest, as Tonto brings troubling word to the army fort. Will Tonto be able to ride to warn the Lone Ranger in time? Can Silver race quickly enough to make the deadline? Despite the heroic and gallant efforts, will Garson be able to stir up the indians to fight anyway?
