Lone Ranger is riding the trail of adventure to Mountain City, fur capitol of the West. Bandits performing a string of robberies have been holding up the wagon train that takes the goods to market, and the citezens are crying out for a good marshal to protect their interests.
The best lawman money can buy lays on the drinks at the bar. The trouble is that he is on the make for corrupt purposes. There’s an honest man who is his rival, but he may be in danger if he pursues in running for office. Tonto gets word to the Lone Ranger, but what can he do? In disguise, the Lone Ranger rides into town to make sure the elections remains on the up and up, and encourage the honest candidate to stay in the running.
With some help, the dishonest candidate has his true background exposed. The danger for young Johnny is just beginning when he is called out of town to help with trouble on a ranch. Of course, the Lone Ranger and Tonto smell a rat and set out after him. But will Johnny survive to last in his new job? Will he need the Lone Ranger’s help to get out of danger?
Using his medical skills with plants and herbs, Tonto nurses the ambushed Johnny back to health. Hey, that sounds familiar. Is that what it takes to make a famous lawman, to be ambushed and nursed to health by a friendly indian? It worked for the Lone Ranger.
Using the belief that Johnny is dead, the Lone Ranger sets a trap for the bad guys, but the bad guys have their own plans when their dishonest man assumes the duties as Marshall. It’ll be a tough job, but with the Lone Ranger to back up Johnny there’s sure to be an exciting conclusion.
