Relating back to an episode from months ago, Lum and Abner had to sell a strip of their property to Cedric so he could have a library card. In the last episode Cedric made good on his claim to the property and pitched a tent so he could live there. Now he technically qualifies to move into the new apartment once it’s built. He’s a landowner, and he lives on the property. The tent is right in front of the Jot ‘Em Down store, blocking people from entering, and being a general eye sore.
Moving on the the floor plan of the apartment, Lum talks with Abner about the placement of their store. As Lum continues to iron out details with the apartment, Cedric recieves visitors. Grandpap has come over since he loves to camp out, and the tent has drawn his attention. Lum reaches his last straw when Cedric has built a bonfire, and is roasting wienies.
