Kitty shares what she knows about the shady ranch hand. Matt is beginning to believe the series of near misses and rescues on the ranch is more than just luck. The grateful woman has even gone as far as to name Lonnie as the heir of all she owns in her will.
Doc gloats over his checker playing prowess, right before Matt lures him in to a suckers move. The friendly game is ended when disturbing word comes in. Has Lonnie finally made sure that he can inherit that ranch before it’s time? Matt and Chester race out to the property to save the place from burning down, and preventing a murder. Mrs Larkin can take care of herself a lot better than Matt might have expected, but her priorities are a little different from the norm.
