An intriguing case involving reports of a ghost in a swamp has Dan and Rusty travelling to the spot. Rusty would rather get romantic with her boss, but he’s busy posing as a writer to gain the trust of the grumpy host at the gloomy old place. He interviews Mrs Frasier to learn why she fears leaving the house. Through his investigation, Dan seeks for a natural explanation to the aledged supernatural claims. Despite Rusty thinking the stories are phony, Mrs Frasier’s fears are real, and she has been selling off valuable pearls. Stay tuned to learn more on what’s bothering her.
In the swamp Dan chooses to face the ghost with a revolver. Proof that he isn’t falling for the superstitious, but also alerting Rusty’s fear that something dangerous could happen. Going to get help from the constable, Dan instead finds himself deputized, and recieves authority to shoot anybody he wants. Maybe he won’t shoot anybody, but it gives Dan and Rusty license to snoop around. Danger shows up when gunshots are heard, and a body may have been found.
By now, Dan has all the facts he needs to get to the explanation, which he shares, and exposes the secrets of the wierd occurances.
