On a hillside, two shepherds watch their flocks and the night sky. The sheep are uneasy, as is their sheep dog. Her puppy has wandered away, and the sheep seem uneasy over a strange star in the night sky. Abraham and David change their mind to look for the lost puppy until after morning when an angel band sings and tells them about a glorious event.
Going to the manger to see the baby for themselves, the scruffy and dirty pup is found. Feeling out of place in the neatly cleaned up barn, embarrassment is turned around into blessing when baby Jesus is held in his mothers arms. A smile from the Christchild makes everything alright.
