Lum has just returned from his pamphlet delivery, and he talks about it with Abner. Though Abner is willing to do it for him, Lum keeps on delivering since he wants to prove his honesty to Diogenes.
Diogenes has been fervently working in the feed room to print out his pamplets on honesty, but he is so engrossed in his work that he hasn’t been seen much lately. Cedric has word that the eccentric stranger has a special request for Lum. What could it be? Diogenes is very secretive, and insistent on doing all the printing himself. Why does the man work such long hours?
Cedric and Abner talk about the role model of the new stranger, and using him as a role model of honesty and kindness. What will it take to get on the good side of Diogenes, and win the contest? What is the special, and secret job that Lum has just been assigned?
