Suspicious night time activities over the past few days have led to Cedric having his license plates stolen and being put into jail. Today Mousey has another report of the friendly hoot owl, and the nocturnal activities of suspicious actions dealing with Diogenes. That strange car has been spotted again.
Diogenes has been seen sneaking packages of pamphlets to the driver of the car. Why would the car now have plates from Illinois on it? Might Diogenes be running some kind of con game with the honest citezens of Pine Ridge? Is it turning out to be such a Wonderful World afterall?
A phone call from Lizabeth has a list of chores for Abner to do, as well as a few subtly placed tidbits of wartime patriotism. Diogenes enters to check up on the night time sentries in town. Is he afraid they might be seeing too much, oris he happy with their work? As the eloquent stranger talks about the constellations of the stars, it gets Abner confused. Who ever heard of bears, or archers in the sky?
Cedric enters to report that after his detective ctive work, his license plates have mysteriously reappeared. Was it just a prank by some of the neighborhood boys? Why did the mention of detectives get Diogenes rattled?
