There was never a more noble and honest man of the Old West than the Cisco Kid. Although at times his reputation was questioned, it came at the hands of men trying to lay their guilt at his feet. One example comes from today’s story.
Ned and his niece are closing up their store. The niece has a low opinion of the Cisco Kid, based on what she has heard from the sheriff. Uncle Ned thinks otherwise. Suddenly, they are held up by two men claiming to be Cisco and Pancho, and Ned is gunned down. It doesn’t sit well to make a positive impression on the niece about Cisco.
While mailing a letter, Cisco and Pancho learn of the warrant for them on a murder charge. They confront the sheriff, and the niece, but they are forced to make a quick get away when the sheriff doesn’t believe their story. Now they have to find the ones who are impersonating them before they get blamed for more crimes.
Cisco plans to spy on the town to catch the bad guys red handed. The bad guys have their own plan to nab Cisco for the reward money. Who will get the upper hand in this one? Even if Cisco does get his enemies, will he be able to make the sheriff believe him? Cisco has his work cut out for him. Break out of jail. Prevent another robbery, and catch the crooks red handed. Not to mention, Convince the sherif and the niece that he is really innocent. Whew. If anybody can do it, Cisco can.
