Dennis opens with a song, It’s a Most Unusual Day.
All is well in the little town of Weaverville. All is well with everybody except for Dennis, he was just fired from his job. After a few comforting words from Mildred and Mr Anderson, Dennis is off to talk with Frank Nelson at the unemployment office, where he manages to offer colorful answers to the normally boring questionaire.
On the street, a couple con-men figure Dennis as a push over for some bogus oil property. Since he doesn’t have any cash, he offers to try to sell it to Mrs Anderson.
Intermission time as Dennis sings, With the Twist of the Wrist.
Using his best salesman skills, he pitches the property to Mrs Anderson. She only falls for it when she over hears his phone call from the unemployment agency about a job for Dennis. Marjorie helps show Dennis the error of his ways, but can he make it right with Mrs Anderson?
Marjorie and Dennis try their own sting operation. Dennis does a voice impression that is supposed to be some kind of geological expert or something, but it resembles Jerry Colona to me. The big question is, Can Dennis get the money back. Let’s just say that all almost goes well.
Dennis wraps up in singing, Because.
