In the station house, Frank Smith and Joe talk about the fancy new building that’s being built for the police. An urgent call comes in, and Joe is off to a hot crime scene. After the colorful description of the crime from the shop owner, a suspect is picked up.
Is he as innocent as he claims? In trying to prove his point, the man makes a jail break. Soon, a shooting charge could be added to the list of crimes, and the manhunt for Leroy Finch continues. The crook ends up being trapped, but most of the drama is in his own head as Joe has an easy time of it in hauling him in.
