We look in on Arizona in 1879. A man faces near death over the lack of water. With help from a kindly rancher, he is given a more practical occupation. Still the allure of finding oil and getting rich quick calls him into taking risks. Will the desert yield it’s riches to him? Through the drama we learn of oil and even more riches in minerals that lay hidden under the surface,.
Our hero in the story may never find the oil he is looking for, but there are other stores of minerals to mine, and as lucky as he may be, there are many more who find nothing but sand.
