Take a nostalgic trip back to the days before World War 1. Elliot is a playright, and Cathy is an artist. He liveas with Fred in an upstairs flat, while Cathy shares a room with a young niece downstairs. Cathy is synical, and when love notes begin appearing, she’s sure they’re for her young niece. The anonymous notes keep coming, but is Cathy so unromantic, or unresponsive to even give the flirtation a go?
Maybe a more direct approach would work better? The ice gets broken, and their individual forms of art are common ground. Will the romance grow? Complications arise, but will the new love be on the rocks? It could be the end of more than one friendship. What can save the day?
