Responding to a robbery call, Joe Friday interviews a store employee. Nobody saw any strangers, or unusual cars in the area, and in voiceover Friday fills in the rest of the progress. The robberies won’t stop, so the cops keep plodding along as the trail leads them to an apartment. Their suspect turns out to be just a wacko with a doom and gloom outlook on the future. He certainly has an interesting image of a future with the atomic bomb, and what it could lead to. Is this the robber?
It doesn’t take long though, and after a big tip, the cops nab the real thief. An nontypical kind of a thief. Can you believe it? A kindly old honest robber who never meant to hurt anybody.
