Casey, Crime Photographer – The Serpent Goddess. 471204.

Casey and Ann go to interview a pair of explorers who have hit it big in the jungles of South America. In trying to clear up tales of snakes, a missing third man, and their fear of drums, it only raises more questions for Casey and Ann. What kind of cover up is going on?

At the Blue Note, they share the details with Ethylbert, and word arrives that Johansen has been murdered by what appears to be a huge snake. Going back to Sykes, Casey gets the real story, and so do we when Sykes goes into flashback mode to relive his time in the jungle. He and his partner Johansen stumble on a temple, and swipe emeralds from a snake idol. A statue of a snake with a woman’s face. There had been three explorers, but when jungle drums are heard, a scream soon follows, and the fearful survivors run for their lives.

Is that all there is? Casey talks with his friends in the Blue Note, but there’s more wierd twists to emerge before the tale is told, and the last of the explorers is found dead. Supernatural creepy stuff? Or can Casey explain the mystery in more scientific terms?
