We tag along with John C Fremont as he takes his band of explorers to travel through the lands out West, and report on his findings. Dangers from natives, strange inland salt seas, barren deserts, and more. Fremont maps the terrain that was later known as the Oregon Trail, then from Oregon he continued down the coast to the settlement at Monterey. The travellers passed through lands where no white men had ever went through before, struggling to find mountain passes, and fighting hunger when their supplies ran low.
Note: This should be episode 7, though it claims to be 8 in the show opening.
