Riding the desert trail, Jingles complains when a rare rainstorm hits and drenches him. In the tirade, Jingles tells his dislike for practical jokes, just before a gunman opens fire on our heros. The bushwacker is chased, but gets away in town. Wierd things are afoot.
Visiting their friend Charlie Nickols in the general store, Bill tries to figure out who their gunman might be. Why would someone be out bushwacking? Has anybody been killed in town lately? Amid friendly pranks that Charlie pulls on Jingles, evidence of rustlers is stirred up. Can they continue to evade Wild Bill?
Despite taking more potshots from the bushwackers, Bill rides in and breaks up the rustler camp. There’s still a matter of rounding up the killer of the sheriff though, and it’ll take more thrilling gunfighting action as Bill tracks down his man.
